What to see in Formentera by motorbike in one day? PART 2

In the previous post, we talked about one of the recommended routes to discover Formentera by motorbike in a single day. Here we talk about two other tours to continue discovering the island, without rushes and enjoying every corner and every minute.

1. Beach day and spectacular sunset

La Savina – Sant Francesc – Cala Saona – Cap de Barbaria

This time the first stop after getting off the boat and renting your motorbike will be the village of Sant Francesc, to have breakfast in one of the bars in the square in front of the church and observe how time seems to have stopped.

Before the next stop, go to one of their supermarkets to get what you need for a whole day at the beach: drinks, nuts, sandwiches, fruit, sunscreen … whatever makes you happy!

The next stop of the route will be the beautiful beach of Cala Saona with its spectacular water, so transparent, that you will not believe what you are seeing. And enjoy a wonderful day at the beach with no hurries, just picnics, baths, selfies, walks, shovels … simply have fun in the sun, with the sand and the sea, the way you like best.

To finish the super day what better than going to one of the most symbolic points of the island, the beautiful lighthouse of Cap de Barbería. Famous for appearing in the film of Médem, Sex and Lucia. It is one of the most photographed points of Formentera and a nice point to take a magical sunset as a souvenir.

2. One of the most beautiful beaches in the world and sunset party

La Savina – Illetes – Es Pujols – Sunset at Migjorn chiringuito

This route starts with an important breakfast immediately after getting down from the ferry. And as soon as you rent the motorbike, the plan is to take the road towards a morning of sun and sea on one of the best beaches in the world, according to several media and opinion portals: Ses Illetas.

When hunger strikes, hop on the motorbike to go to the village of Es Pujols. It has many bars, restaurants and some snack bars, so you have where to choose. Even so, the best thing about the village are its beaches and transparent waters where you can enjoy a unique bath after lunch.

To end the day, go to the beach des Migjorn where you can enjoy the nightlife of Formentera and the atmosphere of the beach bars to bid farewell to the sun.

Formentera is a small island in kilometres but very big in essence. So there are many more places and nooks. You just have to get on the motorbike and get lost in its roads.
